Guests often do not venture far afield as we encourage people to totally 'switch off' and become comfortable with their own company or loved one. Guests often comment on how relaxing it was to just laze around and do nothing! Without the need to rush about and go exploring; "it really was a total retreat !"

You are also free to introduce yourself to the chickens, even collect their eggs. To the rear is our organic vegetable patch, and if you want to get your hands dirty then please feel free to help out with maintenance and vegetable collection.

The medieval town of Crocq is only 5mins drive away and Giat which has a farmers market every 2 weeks is 10mins away.
Aubusson our nearest town is 25mins drive and is famous for it tapestries. Drive for 45mins and you will find the city of Clermont Ferrand and also the Mont Dore mountain range, which lends itself to breathtaking landscapes of long extinct volcanoes. In winter it also hosts the nearest ski slopes.
